The Summers County Bobcats felled the host PikeView Panthers football team by a score of 15-7 in Thursday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Bobcats face the Greenbrier West Cavaliers (Charmco, WV) in a Coalfield A challenge, on Friday, September 6. Summers County will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Cavaliers go into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 27-21 non-league loss to Pendleton County (Franklin, WV).

The Panthers (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Liberty (Glen Daniel, WV). The Raiders go into the Coalfield AA challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Liberty lost by Poca (Poca, WV), 34-8, in a league challenge.
