August 29, 2024: Columbus, MS 39702 The Pontotoc Warriors (Pontotoc, MS) volleyball knocked off the host New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS), 3-1 in Thursday's league bout.
The Warriors now possess a 12-5 record. They play next when they travel to Starkville for a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 3. Pontotoc will clash with a Yellowjackets team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Germantown (Madison, MS). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 12-6.
With the loss, New Hope drops to 8-8 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Lafayette (Oxford, MS) to clash with the Commodores in a Class 5A Region 1 bout on Thursday, September 5. The Commodores come into the bout with a record of 10-8.
