Pennsylvania High School Football - Laurel Highlands nudges Ambridge

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Laurel Highlands Mustangs (Uniontown, PA) and the visiting Ambridge Bridgers (Ambridge, PA), witnessed Laurel Highlands's football squad edge Ambridge by a count of 12-7.

The Mustangs (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Southmoreland (Alverton, PA). The Scotties go into the non-league battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Southmoreland nudged East Allegheny (North Versailles, PA), 49-7, in a non-league battle.

The Bridgers now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Hopewell for a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. Ambridge will encounter a Vikings team coming off a 31-6 non-league win over New Castle (New Castle, PA). The Vikings record now stands at 2-0.
