Bishop Lynch Friars (Dallas, TX) boosters were content Friday as they observed their football squad thwart the host First Baptist Saints (Dallas, TX), 62-48 in a non-league match.

The Friars (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Midland Christian (Midland, TX). The Mustangs come into the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Midland Christian was beaten by Graham (Graham, TX), 17-7, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Saints confront the Grace Community Cougars (Tyler, TX) in a non-league match, on Thursday, September 4. First Baptist will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Cougars come into the match with a 1-0 record after their 35-26 non-league win over Queen City (Queen City, TX).
