August 29, 2025: Jermyn, PA 18433 The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Lakeland Chiefs (Jermyn, PA) and the visiting Holy Cross Crusaders (Dunmore, PA), witnessed Lakeland's football squad wallop Holy Cross by a tally of 53-6.
The Chiefs (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Riverside (Taylor, PA). The Vikings enter the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Riverside crushed Hanover Area (Hanover Township, PA), 34-31, in a non-league contest.
Next up, the Crusaders encounter the Hanover Area Hawkeyes (Hanover Township, PA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, September 6. Holy Cross will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record. The Hawkeyes go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 34-31 non-league loss to Riverside (Taylor, PA).
