The Pottsville Crimson Tide football squad scored 16 points and limited the host Jim Thorpe Olympians to 7 in the Crimson Tide league triumph on Friday.

The Crimson Tide now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tamaqua for a Colonial-Schuylkill - A outing on Friday, September 5. Pottsville will clash with a Blue Raiders squad coming off a 50-7 league loss to North Schuylkill (Ashland, PA). The Blue Raiders record now stands at 0-2.

With the defeat, Jim Thorpe drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Olympians travel to Blue Mountain (Schuylkill Haven, PA) to clash with the Eagles in a Colonial-Schuylkill - A outing on Friday, September 5. The Eagles come into the outing with a record of 0-2.
