St. Anthony Yellowjackets (San Antonio, TX) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host John Paul II Centurions (Corpus Christi, TX), 42-12 in a non-league battle.

With the win, St. Anthony advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to New Braunfels Christian Academy (New Braunfels, TX) to play the Wildcats in a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. The Wildcats go into the battle with a record of 1-0. New Braunfels Christian Academy won 42-6 in their recent non-league match against Snook (Snook, TX)

Coming up next, the Centurions confront the Premont Cowboys (Premont, TX) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 5. John Paul II will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Cowboys come into the match with a 1-0 record after their 50-6 non-league win over Monte Alto (Monte Alto, TX).
