The Spring Mountain Eagles football team scored 22 points and held the host Sandy Valley Sidewinders to 16 in the Eagles league victory on Friday.

In their next game, the Eagles face the Round Mountain Knights (Round Mountain, NV) in a 1A Southern (8 Man) challenge, on Friday, September 5. Spring Mountain will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Knights enter the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 28-20 league loss to Indian Springs (Indian Springs, NV).

The Sidewinders (0-1) will now prepare for their test against Beatty (Beatty, NV). The Hornets come into the 1A Southern (8 Man) test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Beatty was nipped by Beaver Dam (Littlefield, AZ), 44-12, in a league test.
