In Friday's non-league match, the Genoa-Hugo/Karval Pirates (Hugo, CO) volleyball squad tipped the host Briggsdale Falcons (Briggsdale, CO), by a final score of 3-2.

Next up, the Pirates confront the Stratton Eagles (Stratton, CO) in a 2A/1A Union Pacific match, on Thursday, September 4. Genoa-Hugo/Karval will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record.

With the loss, Briggsdale drops to 0-4 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Weldon Valley (Weldona, CO) to confront the Warriors in a 1A North Central match on Friday, September 5.
