Illinois High School Volleyball - Metea Valley tips Yorkville

Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Metea Valley Mustangs (Aurora, IL) and the host Yorkville Foxes (Yorkville, IL), observed Metea Valley's volleyball team hold off Yorkville by a count of 2-1.

The Mustangs (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Lemont (Lemont, IL). The Lemont HS enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Lemont got by Hinsdale South (Darien, IL), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Foxes battle the Montini Catholic Broncos (Lombard, IL) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, August 30. Yorkville will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Broncos go into the battle with a 0-1 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Timothy Christian (Elmhurst, IL).
