The Discovery Canyon Thunder softball squad (Colorado Springs, CO), was edged 9-8 in Friday's non-league contest with the host Ponderosa Mustangs (Parker, CO)

With the triumph, Ponderosa improves its record to 4-2 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Valor Christian (Highlands Ranch, CO) to face the Eagles in a non-league contest on Tuesday, September 3. The Eagles enter the contest with a record of 7-1. Valor Christian won 12-0 in their recent non-league contest against Pueblo South (Pueblo, CO)

The Thunder now hold a 2-5 record. They play next when they host Rock Canyon for a non-league contest on Saturday, August 31. Discovery Canyon will face a Jaguars squad coming off a 6-4 non-league win over Lakewood (Lakewood, CO). The Jaguars record now stands at 5-0.
