Giddings Buffaloes (Giddings, TX) followers left the game satisfied Friday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the visiting Riesel Indians (Riesel, TX), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Giddings advances its record to 10-16 on the season. The Buffaloes travel to Round Top-Carmine (Carmine, TX) to face the Cubs in a non-league test on Friday, August 30. The Cubs go into the test with a record of 6-8. Round Top-Carmine won 2-1 in their recent non-league test against Bryan (Bryan, TX)

The Indians now sport a 8-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to McMullen County for a non-league test on Friday, August 30. Riesel will face a Cowboys squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to New Braunfels (New Braunfels, TX). The Cowboys record now stands at 0-8.
