August 30, 2025: Wayne, NJ 07470 The Wayne Valley Indians football squad scored 37 points and limited the visiting Cedar Grove Panthers to 31 in the Indians non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Indians now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Northern Highlands for a Super - Liberty Red game on Friday, September 5. Wayne Valley will face a Highlanders team coming off a 27-12 non-league win over Holy Spirit (Absecon, NJ). The Highlanders record now stands at 1-0.
The Panthers (0-1) will now prepare for their game against Weequahic (Newark, NJ). The Indians enter the non-league game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Weequahic held off Mountain Lakes (Mountain Lakes, NJ), 14-12, in a non-league game.
