In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Pocahontas Indians.

With the win, Bishop Garrigan advances its record to 2-4 on the season. The Golden Bears host Lake Mills (Lake Mills, IA) to face the Bulldogs in a Top of Iowa West test on Thursday, September 4. The Bulldogs go into the test with a record of 1-0.

The Indians now sport a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sioux Central for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 2.
