Iowa High School Volleyball - Roosevelt can't hold off Gilbert
August 30, 2025: Gilbert, IA 50105 In Saturday's non-league match, the Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, IA) volleyball squad tipped the visiting Roosevelt Roughriders (Des Moines, IA), by a margin of 2-1.
The Tigers now possess a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Bondurant-Farrar for a Raccoon River bout on Tuesday, September 2. Gilbert will clash with a Bluejays team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Ames (Ames, IA). The Bluejays record now stands at 4-5.
With the loss, Roosevelt drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Roughriders travel to Mason City (Mason City, IA) to clash with the Mohawks in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 2. The Mohawks come into the bout with a record of 0-3. Mason City lost 2-0 in their recent non-league match against Independence (Independence, IA)
