Shafter Generals (Shafter, CA) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host McFarland Cougars (McFarland, CA), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Shafter improves its record to 10-1 on the season. The Generals travel to Golden Valley (Bakersfield, CA) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league test on Saturday, August 30. The Bulldogs go into the test with a record of 2-5. Golden Valley won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Rosamond (Rosamond, CA)

The Cougars now have a 1-10 record. They play next when they host Granite Hills for a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 30. McFarland will meet a Grizzlies team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Chavez (Delano, CA). The Grizzlies record now stands at 3-5.
