The Strawn Greyhounds volleyball squad (Strawn, TX), was edged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Perrin-Whitt Pirates (Perrin, TX)

With the win, Perrin-Whitt improves its record to 17-6 on the season. The Pirates host Olney (Olney, TX) to encounter the Cubs in a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 2. The Cubs go into the battle with a record of 7-10. Olney won 3-1 in their recent non-league battle against Munday (Munday, TX)

The Greyhounds now own a 17-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host XDOT Academy for a non-league contest on Tuesday, September 2. Strawn will battle a Bison team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Woodson (Woodson, TX). The Bison record now stands at 1-2.
