Scottsbluff Bearcats (Scottsbluff, NE) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Chadron Cardinals (Chadron, NE), 8-3 in a league challenge.

The Bearcats now own a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Holyoke for a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 2. Scottsbluff will battle a Dragons squad coming off a 16-8 non-league win over Chase County (Imperial, NE). The Dragons record now stands at 5-3.

With the loss, Chadron falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Gering (Gering, NE) to battle the Bulldogs in a B District 10 challenge on Tuesday, September 7. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 9-1. Gering won 9-0 in their recent league challenge against Alliance (Alliance, NE)
