Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC), 9-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Blue Devils face the Tuscola Mountaineers (Waynesville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, September 6. Brevard will attempt to better on its 4-2 season record. The Mountaineers enter the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 10-1 non-league win over Swain County (Bryson City, NC).

The Mustangs now have a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Asheville for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 5. Smoky Mountain will face a Cougars team coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Christ School (Arden, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 3-2.
