The Hastings Saxons held off the visiting Harper Creek Beavers football team by a count of 38-35 in Thursday's league outing.

With the win, Hastings upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Saxons travel to Marshall (Marshall, MI) to encounter the Redhawks in a Interstate Eight outing on Friday, September 10. The Redhawks go into the outing with a record of 2-1. Marshall lost 42-40 in their recent league outing against Pennfield (Battle Creek, MI)

With the loss, Harper Creek moves to 0-2 on the season. The Beavers host Western (Parma, MI) to encounter the Panthers in a Interstate Eight outing on Friday, September 10. The Panthers go into the outing with a record of 2-0. Western won 27-13 in their recent league outing against Northwest (Jackson, MI)
