San Dieguito Academy Mustangs (Encinitas, CA) fans went home in high spirits Tuesday as they saw their flag football team tip the visiting Mt. Carmel Sundevils (San Diego, CA), 8-6 in a non-league battle.

With the win, San Dieguito Academy upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Valley Center (Valley Center, CA) to meet the Jaguars in a non-league match on Wednesday, September 3. The Jaguars come into the match with a record of 0-1. Valley Center lost 20-0 in their recent non-league match against Del Norte (San Diego, CA)

Coming up next, the Sundevils meet the Vista Panthers (Vista, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 4. Mt. Carmel will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Panthers go into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 12-6 non-league loss to Tri-City Christian (Vista, CA).
