With the win, Mendota upgrades its record to 6-1 on the year. The Trojans travel to Erie-Prophetstown (Erie, IL) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Friday, September 3. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

The Cardinals now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they travel to Eastland for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 4. Forreston will play a Cougars squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Pearl City (Pearl City, IL). The Cougars record now stands at 2-2.
