South Knox Spartans (Vincennes, IN) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting Mt. Vernon Wildcats (Mt. Vernon, IN), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, South Knox moves its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Spartans host Washington Catholic (Washington, IN) to confront the Cardinals in a Blue Chip outing on Saturday, September 6. The Cardinals go into the outing with a record of 1-5. Washington Catholic lost 1-0 in their recent league outing against Barr-Reeve (Montgomery, IN)
