In Thursday's league challenge, the host Cowan Blackhawks volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Monroe Central Golden Bears.

The Blackhawks (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Wes-Del (Gaston, IN). The Warriors enter the challenge with a 0-1 record.
