North Carolina High School Volleyball - Queen's Grant bounced by Mountain Island Charter
September 4, 2025: Matthews, NC 28105 Mountain Island Charter Raptors (Mt. Holly, NC) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Queen's Grant Stallions (Matthews, NC), 3-0 in a league test.
With the win, Mountain Island Charter improves its record to 10-4 on the season. The Raptors host Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC) to face the Mountaineers in a non-league test on Monday, September 8. The Mountaineers go into the test with a record of 13-1. Kings Mountain won 3-0 in their recent league challenge against North Gaston (Dallas, NC)
Next, the Stallions meet the Jackson Day Mariners (Charlotte, NC) in a Catawba River 1A/2A/3A challenge, on Tuesday, September 9. Queen's Grant will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Mariners come into the challenge with a 8-3 record after their 3-1 league loss to Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy (Mooresboro, NC).
