Piedmont Community Charter Patriots (Gastonia, NC) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Queen's Grant Stallions (Matthews, NC), 3-0 in a league test.

With the win, Piedmont Community Charter improves its record to 9-3 on the campaign. The Patriots host Jackson Day (Charlotte, NC) to meet the Mariners in a Catawba River 1A/2A/3A challenge on Tuesday, September 23. The Mariners come into the challenge with a record of 12-4. Jackson Day won 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy (Huntersville, NC)

Next, the Stallions meet the Sugar Creek Charter Wildcats (Charlotte, NC) in a Catawba River 1A/2A/3A test, on Tuesday, September 23. Queen's Grant will attempt to improve on its 4-12 season record. The Wildcats go into the test with a 1-10 record after their 3-0 league loss to Mountain Island Charter (Mt. Holly, NC).
