Ascension Episcopal (Lafayette, LA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team overwhelm the host Kaplan Pirates (Kaplan, LA), 41-7 in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the face the Archbishop Hannan Hawks (Covington, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 12. Ascension Episcopal will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Hawks go into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 14-13 non-league win over Northlake Christian (Covington, LA).

With the defeat, Kaplan drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Pirates host Berwick (Berwick, LA) to meet the Panthers in a non-league test on Friday, September 12. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 0-1. Berwick lost 40-14 in their recent non-league test against Morgan City (Morgan City, LA)
