The Calhoun Sandcrabs football squad (Port Lavaca, TX), was beaten 41-31 in Friday's non-league match with the visiting Sinton Pirates (Sinton, TX)

The Pirates (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Alice (Alice, TX). The Coyotes enter the non-league match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, Alice was beaten by Calallen (Corpus Christi, TX), 21-6, in a non-league battle.

The Sandcrabs now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to St. John's for a non-league battle on Friday, September 12. Calhoun will play a Mavericks team coming off a 37-7 non-league win over Houston Christian (Houston, TX). The Mavericks record now stands at 1-1.
