September 5, 2025: Dunlap, IL 61525 The Dunlap Eagles walloped the visiting Rock Island Rocks football team by a margin of 50-3 in Friday's non-league test.
The Eagles now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pekin for a Mid-Illini test on Friday, September 12. Dunlap will meet a Dragons squad coming off a 26-14 non-league loss to Belleville East (Belleville, IL). The Dragons record now stands at 1-1.
With the defeat, Rock Island drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Rocks travel to Geneseo (Geneseo, IL) to meet the Maple Leafs in a Western Big 6 challenge on Friday, September 12. The Maple Leafs enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Geneseo won 26-18 in their recent non-league challenge against Assumption (Davenport, IA)
