The crowd at Friday's league contest between the St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans (St. Joseph, IL) and the visiting Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers (Paxton, IL), witnessed St. Joseph-Ogden's football squad knock off Paxton-Buckley-Loda by a tally of 35-12.

The Spartans (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Illinois Valley Central (Chillicothe, IL). The Grey Ghosts enter the Illini Prairie contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Illinois Valley Central was toppled by Bloomington Central Catholic (Bloomington, IL), 59-0, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Panthers battle the Pontiac Indians (Pontiac, IL) in a Illini Prairie bout, on Friday, September 12. Paxton-Buckley-Loda will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record.
