The St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans football squad scored 44 points and limited the host Prairie Central Hawks to 7 in the Spartans league triumph on Friday.

The Spartans now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Paxton-Buckley-Loda for a Illini Prairie test on Friday, September 5. St. Joseph-Ogden will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 21-14 league loss to Bloomington Central Catholic (Bloomington, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 0-1.

With the defeat, Prairie Central moves to 0-1 on the season. The Hawks travel to Pontiac (Pontiac, IL) to face the Indians in a Illini Prairie challenge on Friday, September 5.
