The Millard South Patriots softball team scored 12 runs and held the host Pius X Thunderbolts to 8 in the Patriots non-league win on Friday.

The Patriots now sport a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Legend for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 6. Millard South will meet a Titans squad coming off a 10-8 non-league loss to Lakewood (Lakewood, CO). The Titans record now stands at 4-3.

The Thunderbolts (2-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Elkhorn South (Omaha, NE). The Storm go into the A District challenge with a 9-4 record. In their last battle, Elkhorn South got by Mercy (Omaha, NE), 14-0, in a non-league outing.
