Fans at Friday's league contest between the Alleluia Community Angels (Augusta, GA) and the visiting Veritas Academy Gryphon (Savannah, GA), observed Alleluia Community's volleyball team top Veritas Academy by a tally of 2-0.

The Angels (12-1) will now prepare for their contest against Wardlaw Academy (Johnston, SC). The Patriots enter the non-league contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Wardlaw Academy was defeated by Cambridge Academy (Greenwood, SC), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Gryphon meet the Trinity Christian (Statesboro, GA) in a GAPPS DI-A Region 4 challenge, on Friday, September 5. Veritas Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record.
