September 5, 2025: Sitka, AK 99835 Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Barrow Whalers (Utqiagvik, AK) and the host Mt. Edgecumbe Braves (Sitka, AK), observed Barrow's volleyball team hold off Mt. Edgecumbe by a count of 1-0.
The Whalers (19-4) will now prepare for their contest against Valdez (Valdez, AK). The Buccaneers enter the non-league contest with a 12-4 record. In their last contest, Valdez got by North Pole (North Pole, AK), 1-0, in a non-league contest.
Next, the Braves battle the Valdez Buccaneers (Valdez, AK) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 6. Mt. Edgecumbe will attempt to move on its 0-5 season record. The Buccaneers enter the contest with a 15-4 record after their 1-0 non-league win over Eagle River (Eagle River, AK).
