In Tuesday's league battle, the host East Burke Cavaliers volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Newton-Conover Red Devils.

The Cavaliers (3-6) will now prepare for their battle against Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC). The Bears enter the Catawba Valley Athletic 2A test with a 3-6 record. In their last test, Bunker Hill gained a win over South Caldwell (Hudson, NC), 3-2, in a non-league test.
