In Thursday's league battle, the host Newton-Conover Red Devils volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Lincolnton Wolves.

The Red Devils (1-4) will now prepare for their battle against East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC). The Cavaliers come into the Catawba Valley Athletic 2A battle with a 2-6 record. In their last battle, East Burke lost by Bandys (Catawba, NC), 3-1, in a league battle.
