South Anchorage Wolverines (Anchorage, AK) followers went home pleased Saturday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Bettye Davis East Anchorage Thunderbirds (Anchorage, AK), 33-7 in a league battle.

With the win, South Anchorage advances its record to 3-1 on the season. The Wolverines travel to Juneau-Douglas (Juneau, AK) to confront the Crimson Bears in a Cook Inlet match on Friday, September 12. The Crimson Bears come into the match with a record of 1-3. Juneau-Douglas lost 27-0 in their recent league match against Bartlett (Anchorage, AK)

Coming up next, the Thunderbirds confront the West Anchorage Eagles (Anchorage, AK) in a Cook Inlet battle, on Saturday, September 13. Bettye Davis East Anchorage will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Eagles go into the battle with a 4-0 record after their 35-16 league win over Colony (Palmer, AK).
