The L.C. Bird Skyhawks football team (Chesterfield, VA), was topped 21-0 in Saturday's non-league bout with the host Thomas Dale Knights (Chester, VA)

With the win, Thomas Dale advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Knights host Glen Allen (Glen Allen, VA) to confront the Jaguars in a non-league match on Friday, September 19. The Jaguars enter the match with a record of 1-1.

Coming up next, the Skyhawks confront the Monacan Chiefs (Richmond, VA) in a Dominion battle, on Friday, September 12. L.C. Bird will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Chiefs go into the battle with a 0-2 record after their 20-14 non-league loss to Hanover (Mechanicsville, VA).
