September 6, 2025: Lincoln, IL 62656 Fans at Saturday's non-league test between the Mt. Zion Braves (Mt. Zion, IL) and the host Lincoln Railsplitters (Lincoln, IL), witnessed Mt. Zion's soccer team knock off Lincoln by a final score of 2-0.
With the triumph, Mt. Zion moves its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Braves host Taylorville (Taylorville, IL) to meet the Tornadoes in a Apollo test on Tuesday, September 9. The Tornadoes come into the test with a record of 1-4. Taylorville lost 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against North Mac (Virden, IL)
Next up, the Railsplitters confront the Glenwood Titans (Chatham, IL) in a Central State Eight outing, on Tuesday, September 9. Lincoln will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The Titans enter the outing with a 4-2 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Orchard Farm (St. Charles, MO).
