The Polk County Slammers softball squad (Stromsburg, NE), was routed 17-8 in Saturday's non-league contest with the visiting Centura Centurions (Cairo, NE)

With the triumph, Centura improves its record to 7-4 on the year. The Centurions travel to Pierce (Pierce, NE) to face the Bluejays in a non-league contest on Saturday, September 6. The Bluejays go into the match with a record of 6-4. Pierce won 3-1 in their recent non-league match against O'Neill (O'Neill, NE)

In their next game, the Slammers battle the Boone Central Cardinals (Albion, NE) in a non-league match, on Saturday, September 6. Polk County will attempt to better on its 1-9 season record. The Cardinals go into the match with a 4-4 record after their 6-4 non-league win over North Bend Central (North Bend, NE).
