Nebraska High School Softball - Highway 6 drops to Polk County
September 8, 2025: Holdrege, NE 68949 Polk County Slammers (Stromsburg, NE) supporters left the game thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad topple the host Highway 6 Trailblazers (Holdrege, NE), 17-5 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Polk County improves its record to 2-10 on the year. The Slammers host Twin River (Genoa, NE) to play the Titans in a C District game on Tuesday, September 9. The Titans enter the game with a record of 7-6. Twin River won 8-5 in their recent non-league game against York (York, NE)
The Trailblazers now hold a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to Hershey for a non-league game on Saturday, September 13. Highway 6 will confront a Panthers team coming off a 12-0 league win over Chase County (Imperial, NE). The Panthers record now stands at 3-10.
