September 6, 2025: Eldon, IA 52554 The Cardinal Comets volleyball squad (Eldon, IA), was defeated 2-0 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting East Marshall Mustangs (Le Grand, IA)
The Mustangs (5-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Gladbrook-Reinbeck (Reinbeck, IA). The Rebels enter the non-league challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, Gladbrook-Reinbeck was beaten by Dunkerton (Dunkerton, IA), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Comets face the Chariton Chargers (Chariton, IA) in a South Central test, on Tuesday, September 9. Cardinal will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record. The Chargers go into the test with a 4-3 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Melcher-Dallas (Melcher, IA).
