Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC) and the host R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC), observed East Gaston's volleyball team top R-S Central by a count of 2-0.

The Warriors (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against Shelby (Shelby, NC). The Golden Lions enter the non-league battle with a 0-6 record. In their last battle, Shelby dropped by Cherryville (Cherryville, NC), 3-1, in a league battle.

The Hilltoppers now own a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Franklin for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 6.
