Muncie Burris Owls (Muncie, IN) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Jay County Patriots (Portland, IN), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Owls (8-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Trinity Lutheran (Seymour, IN). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 6-6 record. In their last challenge, Trinity Lutheran was beaten by Triton Central (Fairland, IN), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Patriots meet the Fairfield Falcons (Goshen, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 6. Jay County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 3-0 league loss to Angola (Angola, IN).
