September 6, 2025: Saltillo, MS 38866 The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Saltillo Tigers (Saltillo, MS) and the visiting Shannon Red Raiders (Shannon, MS), saw Saltillo's volleyball squad notch a victory over Shannon by a score of 2-0.
With the win, Saltillo improves its record to 6-6 on the season. The Tigers host Grenada (Grenada, MS) to encounter the Chargers in a Class 6A Region 1 battle on Tuesday, September 9. The Chargers go into the battle with a record of 6-6. Grenada won 3-0 in their recent league battle against South Panola (Batesville, MS)
Next, the Red Raiders meet the Mooreville Troopers (Mooreville, MS) in a Class 4A Region 2 contest, on Tuesday, September 9. Shannon will attempt to move on its 2-9 season record. The Troopers enter the contest with a 7-6 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Nettleton (Nettleton, MS).
