In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Nettleton Tigers volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Shannon Red Raiders.

The Tigers (13-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Amory (Amory, MS). The Panthers enter the non-league challenge with a 4-6 record. In their last challenge, Amory beat Hatley (Amory, MS), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Red Raiders now own a 2-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mooreville for a Class 4A Region 2 test on Tuesday, September 9. Shannon will face a Troopers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Nettleton (Nettleton, MS). The Troopers record now stands at 7-6.
