South Carolina High School Volleyball - May River can't hold off James Island

In Thursday's league battle, the host James Island Trojans volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the May River Sharks .

The Trojans (5-5) will now prepare for their battle against Colleton County (Walterboro, SC). The Cougars come into the AAAA Region 7 battle with a 0-4 record. In their last battle, Colleton County was edged by Hilton Head Island (Hilton Head Island, SC), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Sharks clash with the Lucy Beckham Bengals (Mt. Pleasant, SC) in a AAAA Region 7 battle, on Tuesday, September 12. May River will attempt to advance on its 7-3 season record. The Bengals come into the battle with a 6-4 record after their 3-1 league win over Bluffton (Bluffton, SC).
