The May River Sharks volleyball team (Bluffton, SC), was nudged 3-2 in Thursday's league challenge with the visiting James Island Trojans (Charleston, SC)

The Trojans (18-8) will now prepare for their challenge against North Myrtle Beach (Little River, SC). The Chiefs enter the non-league challenge with a 23-1 record. In their last challenge, North Myrtle Beach nipped West Florence (Florence, SC), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Sharks encounter the Hilton Head Island Seahawks (Hilton Head Island, SC) in a AAAA Region 7 challenge, on Tuesday, October 3. May River will attempt to move on its 10-7 season record. The Seahawks enter the challenge with a 14-13 record after their 3-0 league win over Colleton County (Walterboro, SC).
