September 7, 2024: Jefferson, GA 30549 Jefferson Dragons (Jefferson, GA) backers left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Flowery Branch Falcons (Flowery Branch, GA), 8-2 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Jefferson upgrades its record to 9-7 on the year. The Dragons host Monroe Area (Monroe, GA) to play the Purple Hurricanes in a 3A Region 8 game on Tuesday, September 10. The Purple Hurricanes enter the game with a record of 10-7. Monroe Area won 5-3 in their recent non-league game against Morgan County (Madison, GA)
The Falcons now own a 2-11 record. They play next when they host North Oconee for a 4A Region 8 game on Tuesday, September 10. Flowery Branch will play a Titans squad coming off a 11-7 league loss to Eastside (Covington, GA). The Titans record now stands at 10-4.
