The Monroe Central Seminoles held off the host Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Seminoles now have a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bridgeport for a Ohio Valley 2A test on Thursday, September 9. Monroe Central will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-1 league loss to River (Hannibal, OH). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-5.

The Maroon Knights (4-2) will now prepare for their test against Madonna (Weirton, WV). The Blue Dons enter the non-league test with a 0-3 record. In their last test, Madonna was nudged by Linsly (Wheeling, WV), 2-0, in a league test.
